Magok Restaurant, Pasta in Café is a must-visit spot for those looking for a great value dining experience in Seoul. With a growing number of young residents and the establishment of major corporations in the area, Magok is quickly becoming a hotspot for food lovers.
On this particular day, I headed out with my brother to try a highly recommended pasta and pizza place that’s been making waves as a top Magok restaurant. Known for its amazing value and delicious offerings, Pasta in Café is located just a 3-minute walk from Magok Station’s Exit 5, making it incredibly convenient to reach. Whether you’re driving or taking public transport, this spot is easy to find, and with three hours of free parking, it’s perfect for those who prefer to drive.

Magok Station Pasta Restaurant – Pasta in Café
Pasta in Café, a well-known Magok restaurant, is just a 3-minute walk from Exit 5 of Magok Station. The restaurant even offers up to 3 hours of parking validation, which is great for those driving in. However, finding parking in the area can be a bit challenging, as many of the buildings look similar. If you’re driving, look for the “Technotower 2” sign and park in the basement. From there, take the elevator to the 2nd floor, and you’ll find Pasta in Café at the end of the left hallway, easily spotted by its banner.

Interior Space, Magok Restaurant, Pasta in Café
The café has a warm and cozy atmosphere with wood accents throughout the space. It’s a place where sunlight beautifully streams in through the windows during the day, creating a bright and inviting environment. The tables are spaced out nicely, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal or coffee and chat without feeling crowded.
Whether you’re there for a coffee break, a light lunch, or a relaxed dinner with your significant other or family, Pasta in Café offers a setting that’s conducive to conversation and relaxation. We visited around 6:30 PM, and while it was quiet at first, the place quickly filled up within 30 minutes. The crowd was a mix of families and younger patrons, which speaks to the café’s broad appeal.
The café’s decor is understated yet charming, with pastel tones and thoughtful touches that reflect the owner’s taste and attention to detail. There’s even a full-length mirror and a receipt printer for couples to take fun photos, adding a playful element to the experience. The café was showing “Ugly Betty” on the screen during our visit, which added to the nostalgic, comfortable vibe.
The bar seating by the windows is equipped with power outlets, making it an ideal spot for those who want to work or study while enjoying a meal or drink.
The selection of fresh fruits displayed in the fridge caught my brother’s attention, and he enjoyed taking photos, remarking that the place must serve amazing fresh juices and ades. We were certainly excited to try them!
The café also offers a good selection of beers, wines, and other beverages, adding to the versatility of the space.
Menu, at Magok Restaurant, Pasta in Café
The menu is well-organized and easy to navigate, with a great selection of affordable pasta dishes, pizzas, and more. The set menus, in particular, offer incredible value – for just 13,500 KRW, you can enjoy a pasta dish, toast, and a drink. This price point is hard to beat, especially considering the quality of the food.
What’s even better is that the set menus are available all day, not just during lunch hours, which is a rare find. Whether you’re dining solo and need a quick meal while working or you’re with a friend and want to share a pizza and pasta set, Pasta in Café has got you covered.
For those who enjoy a bit of spice, you can add an extra kick to any dish for just 500 KRW. The drink menu is extensive, with everything from fresh fruit juices to ades at surprisingly reasonable prices – almost unbelievable given Seoul’s typical pricing.
There’s also a separate takeout menu with a 10% discount on all items, making it even more appealing for those on the go.
Dining Experience at Magok Restaurant, Pasta in Café
What We Ordered
- Vongole Set: 13,500 KRW
- Truffle Rucola Pizza: 22,000 KRW
- Capri Beer: 4,300 KRW
It’s worth noting that Pasta in Café operates on a pre-payment system, so you’ll need to pay at the counter when you order. They also accept Seoul Pay, which is convenient.
While waiting for our food, we explored the self-service bar, which was well-stocked with a variety of items. There were even croutons available for adding extra crunch to your salad or risotto, but we decided to pass this time as it didn’t quite match our order.
One small yet thoughtful touch was a QR code for easy Wi-Fi access – a handy feature in today’s connected world.
Our food arrived quickly, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our choices. The combination of pasta and pizza was perfect, and the Capri beer served in an ice bucket was a delightful surprise. It’s the little details like this that make the dining experience at Pasta in Café so enjoyable.
The Truffle Rucola Pizza was topped generously with fresh rucola and sun-dried tomatoes, with a subtle truffle aroma that was simply irresistible. The pizza was light yet flavorful, with the perfect amount of cheese, and the homemade tomato sauce was the ideal complement.
The Vongole pasta exceeded our expectations with its large, fresh clams and perfectly cooked noodles. The garlic, olive oil, and pepperoncini added a fragrant and spicy kick, making it one of the best vongole dishes we’ve had in recent memory.
We finished our meal with a charmingly plated fruit dessert included in the set menu. It was a sweet and thoughtful ending to an already fantastic meal, reinforcing the sense that Pasta in Café is a place where the owner’s care and attention to detail shine through in every aspect.
