Just Steak’s menu is centered around its signature dry-aged T-bone steak, a dish that has become synonymous with the restaurant.

The steaks are aged for three weeks in a carefully controlled environment to enhance their flavor and tenderness.

In addition to the T-bone, the menu offers a variety of other steaks, pastas, and salads, making it a versatile option for different tastes.

One of the standout features of Just Steak is its lunch set menu, which includes an L-bone steak. This option is perfect for those who find the T-bone too large, as the L-bone offers a slightly smaller portion of the tenderloin. The set also includes pasta and salad, making it a great value for a mid-day meal.

For this visit, we focused on the T-bone steak. Given that the minimum order for two is 800g, we decided to skip other dishes and fully enjoy the steak experience.

Our Order

  • T-bone Steak (800g for two): 154,400 KRW
  • Grilled Vegetables: 12,500 KRW

One of the highlights of Just Steak is that while it offers an excellent selection of wines, it also allows guests to bring their own wine with no corkage fee, provided each person orders at least 400g of steak. This makes it a fantastic option for wine lovers who want to pair their meal with a favorite bottle.

The experience begins with a beautifully set table, evoking the ambiance of a classic steakhouse. A basket of warm, buttery bread is served as an appetizer, hinting at the quality of the meal to come.

One of the fascinating aspects of Just Steak is the quiet and calm atmosphere. Despite being a steakhouse, there’s no overwhelming scent of grilling meat, and the kitchen operates with an almost mysterious silence. The chefs are hidden from view, adding to the intrigue as you await your meal.

We started with the grilled vegetables, a mix of asparagus, mushrooms, bell peppers, and zucchini, topped with cheese. The vegetables were fresh and perfectly grilled, with a smoky flavor that complemented the T-bone steak beautifully. The asparagus, in particular, was a standout, crisp and full of flavor.

Then came the main event—the T-bone steak.

Even accounting for the bone, the portion was extremely generous, easily enough to feed three or even four people. The steak was cooked to perfection, with a warm, pink center that oozed with juicy goodness. The meat was tender and flavorful, a testament to the careful dry-aging process.

Each bite of the T-bone steak was a delight, with the rich, beefy flavor complemented by the accompanying sauces. While the garlic sauce was flavorful, we found that the steak was best enjoyed simply, without any additional condiments. The bread from earlier made a perfect pairing, providing a soft and buttery contrast to the rich meat.

A Brief History of the T-Bone Steak

The T-bone steak is a cut of beef that includes both the tenderloin and the strip steak, separated by a T-shaped bone.

This cut is prized for offering two different textures and flavors in one steak— the tender, buttery filet mignon on one side of the bone and the beefier, more robust New York strip on the other.

The origins of the T-bone steak can be traced back to the United States, where it became popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Its unique combination of tenderness and flavor quickly made it a favorite among steak lovers. The dry-aging process, which involves aging the beef in a controlled environment to enhance its flavor and tenderness, is a traditional method that has been perfected over time, making the T-bone steak a gourmet choice for special occasions.
