Hyehwa Burger Park Handmade Burger: Enjoy juicy handmade burgers in a unique hanok-style space near Daehangno and Hyehwa Station. A must-visit burger spot in Seoul.
There are certain places you end up visiting again and again without even realizing it.
For me, Hyehwa Burger Park Handmade Burger is exactly that kind of place.
Whether I’m heading to Daehangno for a play or just walking around near Marronnier Park, this is one of those spots I naturally think of when I want something satisfying, simple, and consistently good.
And at some point, it quietly became one of my regular go-to burger places in Seoul.
A Reliable Handmade Burger Spot in Hyehwa

What makes Hyehwa Burger Park Handmade Burger stand out is how clean and balanced everything feels.
There are plenty of burger places in Seoul, but it’s surprisingly rare to find one that delivers both flavor and consistency without feeling too heavy or overly greasy.
That’s exactly why I keep coming back—and why I even bring my parents here when we’re out together.
It’s a place that works for everyone.
Overview of Hyehwa Burger Park Handmade Burger
Location & How to Get There
- 1F, 5 Daehak-ro 11-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea
- 2-minute walk from Hyehwa Station (Exit 3)
After exiting, just walk slightly toward the opposite direction for about 30 meters, and you’ll find it right next to a local restaurant street entrance.
Because of its central location, Hyehwa Burger Park Handmade Burger is a perfect stop:
before a theater show, during a casual walk, or even as a quick solo lunch spot.
Parking is not available, so nearby public parking (Arko Arts Theater parking lot is recommended) is the best option.

A Unique Hanok-Style Burger Experience of Hyehwa Burger Park Handmade Burger

From the outside, the restaurant already feels a little different.
Instead of a typical modern burger shop,
Hyehwa Burger Park Handmade Burger is built inside a remodeled hanok.
Once you step inside, you’ll notice the wooden beams and traditional structure still preserved. It creates a really interesting contrast—eating an American-style burger inside a Korean traditional space.
It’s not something you see often in Hyehwa.
The tables are also unique, made from old wooden doors with a natural finish, paired with log-style stools. The whole space feels casual but thoughtfully designed.
It’s actually a great place to bring international friends if you want to show something a little different.
The Atmosphere Before the Food Arrives at Hyehwa Burger Park Handmade Burger
One thing I always notice here is how the space itself builds anticipation.
The kitchen is partially open, so once you order, you can: hear the patties cooking, smell the fries being made, and watch the process come together.
By the time your number lights up at the counter, you’re already hungry.
Ordering & How It Works at Hyehwa Burger Park Handmade Burger

Ordering is done through kiosks at the entrance.
The process is simple, but there are quite a few customization options:
- Single or double patty
- Choice of sides (fries, onion rings, chicken, cheese sticks)
- Extra toppings
- Drink selection

If you’re unsure, going with a set menu is definitely the better value.
What We Ordered at Hyehwa Burger Park Handmade Burger
This time, I visited with my parents and we each picked something different:
- Avocado Cheeseburger
- Bacon Cheeseburger
- Hash Brown Bacon Cheeseburger
All ordered as set menus with different options.
The Moment the Food Arrives
When the trays came out, everything looked exactly how you’d want a proper handmade burger to look.
Even the “little” size isn’t actually small, so if you’re not a big eater, it’s more than enough.
I usually go for the smaller size, but this time I got the regular because of the hash brown—and yes, it was a bit too much (still worth it though).
The Burgers

Hash Brown Bacon Cheeseburger
This one was my pick at Hyehwa Burger Park.
The crispy hash brown, combined with a 100% beef patty and bacon, made it incredibly satisfying.
The sauce is quite generous, so I had to adjust it slightly before eating, but once everything came together, it was exactly what you’d expect from a proper American-style burger—rich, filling, and indulgent.

Avocado Cheeseburger
This is my usual go-to.
The avocado adds a creamy texture that balances the beef perfectly, and the fresh lettuce gives it a clean finish.
If you’re visiting for the first time, this is probably the safest and most recommended choice.

Bacon Cheeseburger
Simple, classic, and reliable.
The salty bacon and juicy beef combination works every time.
It’s one of those burgers that no one really dislikes.

Sides You Shouldn’t Skip
The sides here are definitely worth adding.
The crispy chicken is slightly spicy and savory—honestly the kind of flavor that makes you want a beer.
The fries and onion rings are exactly what you expect from a good burger place: crispy, well-seasoned, and satisfying.
Final Thoughts about Hyehwa Burger Park Handmade Burger
After finishing the meal, it was one of those moments where everyone at the table felt equally satisfied.
Not overly full, not underwhelmed—just… happy.
That’s probably the best way to describe Hyehwa Burger Park Handmade Burger.
It’s not trying to be overly trendy or complicated.
It simply focuses on making good burgers, in a comfortable and slightly unique space.
Whether you’re:
- visiting Daehangno
- planning a casual date
- or just looking for a reliable burger spot
this is a place you can come back to without hesitation. And once it becomes your regular, you’ll understand exactly why I keep returning.
