Garosu gil Restaurant Onda – Italian Dining That Feels Light, Clean, and Thoughtfully Balanced
When I think of Italian dining that feels genuinely healthy yet satisfying, one place immediately comes to mind: Garosu gil Restaurant, Onda known for respecting the natural flavors of its ingredients.
Both my father and I tend to prefer food that isn’t overly seasoned or heavy. There was even a time when we actively searched for restaurants that focused on seasonal produce and clean cooking rather than bold, artificial flavors. Garosu gil Restaurant, Onda fits perfectly into that category.
At first bite, you might think, “Is this a little subtle?” By the second bite, it feels calm. And by the time the meal is over, your body feels light, comfortable, and satisfied. That’s the charm of Onda. It’s the kind of restaurant that quietly stays in your memory and makes you want to return.
The name “Onda,” meaning wave in Italian, feels especially fitting. The flavors arrive gently at first, then slowly build—like waves gaining strength as they reach the shore. Even the space itself reflects this idea, transitioning from a bright, sunlit atmosphere to deeper, calmer tones as you move inward.

Interior Atmosphere of Garosu gil Restaurant, Onda

This visit was my first time experiencing Garosu gil Restaurant, Onda at night, and it felt entirely different from the sun-filled daytime atmosphere. As soon as you step inside, the space feels calm, refined, and thoughtfully designed. The lighting is soft, the Onda logo subtly glows, and even the wine glasses used to display business hours show an attention to detail.

The outer hall feels open and airy—almost like standing on a quiet beach under sunlight. In contrast, the inner dining area feels deeper and more intimate, like descending into the ocean. Blue-toned lighting, lower brightness, and a cozy ambiance make it especially suitable for dinner with wine.
If you plan to reserve a table, it’s worth requesting a specific area depending on your preference. The outer area is brighter and better for conversation, while the inner space feels more romantic and immersive, perfect for groups or evening wine dining.

Upstairs, Onda houses a large open kitchen and a couple of private rooms. The separation of kitchen and dining areas adds to the restaurant’s calm flow and privacy.
Menu Structure at Garosu gil Restaurant, Onda
Onda’s menu design feels more like an exhibition guide than a typical restaurant menu. At first glance, it may seem complex, but that design naturally encourages you to slow down and explore.
Lunch sets are clearly marked, while dinner course sets allow guests to experience Onda’s philosophy through a well-balanced selection of dishes. Pasta and pizza are divided into A (classic) and S (signature) categories, with the S options representing Onda’s most refined expressions.
Wine selection is especially impressive—carefully curated, reasonably priced, and clearly meant to complement the food rather than overpower it. After 8 PM, guests can also visit just for wine, as long as they order by the bottle.
The Taste of Garosu gil Restaurant, Onda

Soft drinks arrived first, neatly poured into ice-filled glasses—small details, but they immediately showed the restaurant’s professionalism. The focaccia served before the meal was light and airy, perfect with balsamic vinegar and intentionally portioned so it wouldn’t ruin your appetite.

The starters we chose were Caesar salad and pumpkin soup.

The pumpkin soup tasted almost entirely of pumpkin itself—naturally sweet, warm, and comforting without heaviness.

The Caesar salad was surprisingly refreshing, with crisp baby cabbage, sun-dried tomatoes, and a perfectly grilled cheese topping that added texture and saltiness without overpowering the greens.

Garosu gil Restaurant, Onda’s signature gnocchi quickly made it clear why it’s so well-loved.

Unlike the usual round gnocchi, these were shaped more like Korean dumplings—hearty, soft, and satisfying. Breaking the poached egg and dipping the gnocchi into the sauce created a rich yet balanced bite, with mushrooms and bacon adding depth without heaviness.

The Diablo pizza, marked as spicy, wasn’t truly hot but offered the boldest seasoning among the dishes.

The thin crust made it easy to eat, and it paired well with the gnocchi, each balancing the other’s texture and flavor.

Even after all of this, dessert arrived: tiramisu and crème brûlée. The tiramisu was creamy and rich with mascarpone, finished with just enough cocoa powder to stay elegant. The crème brûlée had a slightly lighter sugar crust than expected, but the inside was smooth and comforting—still a satisfying way to end the meal.
