If you’re searching for a Gangnam Station udon restaurant that feels a little different from the usual, yummy udon gyoza gangnam is one of those places that quickly becomes a favorite.
This is not just a simple udon shop. It’s a fusion-style concept that blends traditional Japanese udon and gyoza with Korean ingredients, creating something both familiar and new at the same time.
What really stands out here is the wide udon noodles. Thick, long, and incredibly chewy, they deliver a texture that you rarely find elsewhere. At the same time, the menu encourages you to order multiple small dishes—gyoza, rice bowls, onigiri—making it perfect for people who enjoy trying a bit of everything rather than sticking to one main dish.
If the first reason to visit is the food, the second is definitely the atmosphere.

The moment you step inside, the space feels layered, almost like walking into a hidden Japanese late-night diner.
Warm lighting, wood textures, and carefully placed decor create a cozy atmosphere that feels both intimate and calming. Even though the restaurant is busy, it doesn’t feel loud or chaotic, which makes it surprisingly comfortable for conversations.

The layout centers around an open kitchen with counter seating, perfect for solo diners or pairs. Around it, there are small two-person tables and a few larger tables near the windows.

What makes the space more interesting is the attention to detail. Small Japanese-style props, curated objects, and even celebrity signatures add personality, making the whole place feel more like a lived-in local spot rather than a polished chain restaurant.
Menu of Gangnam Station Udon Restaurant, yummy udon gyoza gangnam
Ordering is done through a tablet at the table, with multiple language options including English, Chinese, and Japanese, which makes it very foreigner-friendly.
However, the menu is quite extensive, so it can feel overwhelming at first. A helpful tip is to check the illustrated menu outside while waiting, decide what you want, and then quickly order once seated.
The menu is divided into categories like udon, gyoza, rice bowls, sides, and drinks. There are also solo meal sets that are perfect for single diners.
Since we weren’t extremely hungry but wanted to try different items, we decided to order a variety of dishes to share. If you’re visiting alone, the solo set is highly recommended, but if you’re with someone else, mixing and matching dishes is definitely the best way to enjoy this place.
One important tip: onigiri often sells out, so don’t wait too long if you want to try it.
Dining experience of Gangnam Station Udon Restaurant, yummy udon gyoza gangnam

Before the main dishes arrive, you can help yourself to side dishes like pickled vegetables, which are surprisingly addictive.
The water served is cold-brewed brown rice green tea, which is refreshing and pairs well with the food.

We started with a highball, served ice-cold with a slushy texture that instantly felt refreshing on a warm day.
Wide Udon – The Signature Dish

The highlight is without a doubt the signature wide udon.
These noodles are extremely long, over 10cm wide and very thin, served chilled over ice to maintain their chewy texture. Because the dish is simple, the quality of the noodles and the balance of the sauces become even more important—and this place gets it exactly right.

Two dipping sauces are provided: a rich sesame sauce and a refreshing soy-based tsuyu. The tsuyu comes with separate toppings like wasabi and green onions, allowing you to adjust it to your taste.
The first bite in the sesame sauce immediately shows how chewy and satisfying the noodles are. It’s simple but incredibly addictive. The tsuyu sauce, on the other hand, works best when you lightly soak the noodles rather than just dipping them, allowing the flavor to absorb properly.
On a warm day when hot soup feels too heavy, this cold, chewy udon is exactly what you want.
Mini Rice Bowl – Perfect Balance

If you want something more filling without going overboard, the mini rice bowls are a great option.

We ordered one with grilled eggplant and bulgogi, seasoned with a slightly sweet soy-based sauce and white miso. Each bite combines savory, sweet, and umami flavors, making it surprisingly satisfying for its size.
it’s an easy add-on that complements the udon perfectly.
Sichuan Gyoza – Crispy and Spicy
Since this is also a gyoza-focused restaurant, skipping dumplings isn’t an option.
We chose the Sichuan-style gyoza for a bit of spice. The bottom is perfectly crispy, while the top remains soft and juicy. Dipping it lightly into the sauce enhances the flavor without overpowering it.
It does have a noticeable kick, so if you prefer milder flavors, there are plenty of other gyoza options to choose from.
