Dodam Samseong Station Korean BBQ restaurant: Charcoal-Grilled Korean Pork BBQ and One of the Best Group Dining Spots in Samseong-dong

There is a Samseong Station Korean BBQ restaurant in Samseong-dong that I used to visit regularly when I worked nearby. A place where even the lunch menu comes with an impressive selection of side dishes that feel like homemade Korean comfort food.
That place is Dodam Samseong Station branch.
During lunchtime, Samseong Station Korean BBQ restaurant Dodam is popular among office workers looking for a satisfying Korean meal. In the evening, it transforms into one of the most popular company dinner and group gathering spots in Samseong-dong. The biggest reason is simple. Their pork is lightly charcoal-grilled before it reaches your table, making it easier to cook, less smoky, and even more flavorful.

Recently, I had a chance to visit the area again and stopped by for nostalgia. To my surprise, Samseong Station Korean BBQ restaurant Dodam was even busier than before. Several company gatherings were already underway, proving that word of mouth has made Dodam one of the most trusted Korean BBQ restaurants near Samseong Station.

From Exit 5 of Samseong Station, it takes about six minutes on foot. If you are driving, there are paid parking lots nearby. However, the surrounding streets can be narrow and crowded, so I usually recommend parking at nearby parking lot.

Interior Space of Samseong Station Korean BBQ restaurant Dodam

Although Samseong Station Korean BBQ restaurant Dodam is located on the basement level, the space feels surprisingly open and comfortable.
The dining hall can accommodate around seventy guests, making it one of the larger Korean BBQ restaurants in the area. Most tables are arranged in groups suitable for eight people, which explains why it has become such a popular venue for company dinners and team gatherings.
During my visit, three different corporate dinner groups were already enjoying their meals.
The menu appeals to a wide range of diners thanks to its combination of premium Korean pork, seafood dishes, grilled specialties, and hearty Korean comfort foods.
If you plan to visit during dinner hours, making a reservation in advance is definitely recommended.
Menu at Samseong Station Korean BBQ restaurant Dodam
One thing I always liked about Samseong Station Korean BBQ restaurant Dodam is its focus on charcoal-grilled specialties.
The menu features a variety of pork, seafood, and grilled dishes, many of which are available as value-packed set menus. These sets are especially popular because they offer generous portions without feeling expensive.
For this visit, we chose the Premium Charcoal-Grilled Pork Set.
The set included:
- 500g of Korean pork belly and pork neck
- Sausage
- Grilled vegetables
- Stew
- Steamed side dishes
The portions looked large for two people, but because the meat arrived partially grilled and ready to cook, we ended up finishing everything comfortably.
Seafood lovers can also choose dishes such as grilled seafood pork, spicy squid bulgogi, and marinated grilled ribs. If you’re craving something warm, options like army stew and fish cake hot pot are available as well.
The drink menu is equally extensive, ranging from Korean spirits and fruit liquors to refreshing highballs that pair perfectly with grilled pork.
Food of Samseong Station Korean BBQ restaurant Dodam

One of the biggest reasons I continue recommending Samseong Station Korean BBQ restaurant Dodam is the quality of the side dishes.

The meal begins with a table full of banchan that genuinely feel homemade. There is spicy soft tofu stew, assorted vegetable side dishes, kimchi, and several small plates that resemble what you might find in a carefully prepared Korean home-cooked meal.

Because the pork is charcoal-grilled before being served, it takes a little longer to arrive. However, the advantage becomes obvious immediately. There is far less smoke, less odor on your clothes, and the flavor is already enhanced by the initial grilling process.

While waiting for the meat, we started with a refreshing highball and enjoyed the soft tofu stew.
By the time we finished catching up, the staff had already placed the pork on the grill and cut it into bite-sized pieces. They even grilled kimchi alongside the meat, making the entire dining experience remarkably effortless.
One thing worth mentioning is that during peak hours the staff may be too busy to assist as much, but during normal dinner service they are extremely attentive.
As the pork finished cooking, they brought out one of Samseong Station Korean BBQ restaurant Dodam’s signature accompaniments: a seasoned green onion salad.

The combination of smoky pork and fresh green onions was absolutely fantastic.
The pork also paired beautifully with pickled radish wraps and grilled kimchi.

Another memorable side dish was the steamed egg. Unlike the fluffy versions found elsewhere, this one had a slightly firmer top layer while remaining silky underneath, making it a perfect complement to the rich flavors of the grilled meat.
Every bite felt balanced, comforting, and satisfying.
Final Thoughts about Samseong Station Korean BBQ restaurant Dodam
Visiting Samseong Station Korean BBQ restaurant Dodam again reminded me exactly why it became one of my favorite Korean BBQ restaurants during my office days.
The charcoal pre-grilling process means less smoke, less hassle, and consistently delicious pork. The staff helps with much of the cooking, allowing guests to focus on conversation rather than managing the grill.
But what truly sets Dodam apart is the side dishes.
Very few Korean BBQ restaurants in Samseong-dong serve such a generous variety of homemade-style banchan alongside quality Korean pork.
If you’re looking for a place for a company dinner, team gathering, after-work meal, or simply a satisfying Korean BBQ experience near Samseong Station, Samseong Station Korean BBQ restaurant Dodam remains one of the easiest recommendations I can make.
Sometimes all you need is good pork, great side dishes, and a comfortable atmosphere. Samseong Station Korean BBQ restaurant Dodam delivers all three.
