If you are looking for a Chuncheon pool villa near Seoul where you can truly relax, River North Pool Villa Pension is one of the most memorable places to stay.
This newly built and well-maintained private villa offers everything you need for a perfect getaway — private BBQ facilities, an individual heated pool, a spa, and even an outdoor swimming pool. There is so much to do that even a 1 night 2 day trip felt too short.
What made the stay even more special was the incredibly kind owner couple who run the property. Their warm hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable.
Located just 1 hour and 20 minutes from Seoul, the villa overlooks the beautiful Bukhangang River, offering a peaceful and relaxing view. Because the entire villa can be rented privately, it is perfect for couples, families with children, or even small group trips with friends.
During our weekday visit, every room was already fully booked. Interestingly, most of the other guests were families traveling with young children.

Although we traveled by car, pickup service is available for guests who need transportation. If you want to use the pickup service, you must reserve it in advance at least one day before check-in.
Another advantage of River North Pool Villa is its location.
The property is only 5 minutes from Gapyeong Station, making it very convenient for exploring nearby attractions such as:
• Nami Island
• Jade Garden
• Jaraseom Island
• Gapyeong Rail Bike
Because of this, the villa is also an excellent base for a Gapyeong or Chuncheon travel itinerary.
There is also a mart pickup service available when purchasing groceries above a certain amount, though advance inquiries are required.

The property sits on a spacious riverside area and consists of three buildings: A, B, and C.
• Buildings A and B are fully private two-story villas
• Building C is divided into separate first and second floor accommodations
Families often choose the fully private villas in A or B buildings, while couples frequently reserve rooms in building C.
However, guests staying on the second floor of building C should note that those rooms include a spa but not a private pool.
Between buildings A and B there is a path leading to the outdoor swimming pool area, which includes separate pools for adults and children.
Since we visited during winter, the outdoor pool was not operating, but the wooden deck and grassy space still provided a relaxing riverside atmosphere. In reality, the view from inside the villa was even better.

Check-in and other services are handled in the management building.
It seemed like the staff were available almost 24 hours a day, because the office remained open even late in the evening.
One detail we really appreciated was how many basic cooking ingredients were provided. We had forgotten sesame oil and salt, but the staff kindly allowed us to use theirs.
After using any shared ingredients, guests simply return them to the kitchen before checkout.
Another fun moment happened when we brought an inflatable rainbow tube that we had purchased online for the pool. The staff even helped inflate it for us right away. They also had smaller float tubes available for children.

We stayed in Building B, Room 201.
The moment we stepped inside, we immediately said “wow.” The villa felt spacious, modern, and carefully designed.
Comfortable indoor slippers were provided at the entrance, which added a welcoming touch.
The base price is for two adults, though the villa can accommodate up to four guests comfortably. While some groups may inquire about staying with up to six people, the living and dining spaces are most comfortable for two to four guests.

On the first floor, sliding doors open to reveal the private indoor pool and spa area.
Every room includes a private spa free of charge, while the heated indoor pool requires a mandatory heating fee of 30,000 KRW per night.

The space also includes a spin dryer for swimwear, a drying rack, and inflatable tubes suitable for both children and adults.
The water temperature was pleasantly warm, making it perfect even during winter.
Living Room and Kitchen of Chuncheon Pool Villa River North Pool Villa Pension
Moving down the hallway leads to the living room, which includes a large television and an air purifier.
Next to it is a surprisingly spacious refrigerator and freezer, large enough to store groceries for a multi-day stay.
Fresh towels were generously provided — including bath towels and standard towels — so we didn’t need to bring any extras despite planning to use the pool.
Hair dryers were also available on both floors, which made getting ready before checkout much easier.

The staircase leads to the second-floor bedroom, where a beautiful Bukhangang River view opens through the window.
Two king-size beds with clean white hotel-style bedding were prepared in the room.
Despite visiting during winter, the room didn’t feel dry at all, possibly because of the heated pool below.
There was also a vanity area and a small seating space by the window where guests could relax with coffee while enjoying the river view.
Although I planned to enjoy a morning coffee there, we ended up being too busy enjoying everything else in the villa.
Pool Time at Chuncheon Pool Villa River North Pool Villa Pension
After settling in, we spent time enjoying the heated indoor pool.
Alcohol and food are not allowed inside the pool area, so we simply relaxed in the water and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.
Floating on the rainbow tube felt relaxing at first, but eventually we started playing with a ball and turned the pool time into a surprisingly energetic workout.
The water temperature and depth were perfect for adults, making it easy to enjoy for a long time.
Private BBQ Dinner at Chuncheon Pool Villa River North Pool Villa Pension
After swimming, we were extremely hungry and started preparing dinner.
The kitchen area is separated from the living room by a glass door, which helps block cooking smells from spreading throughout the villa.
For dinner, we grilled beef, scallops, mushrooms, and shrimp on the infrared BBQ grill installed at the table.

10,000 KRW per day
The grill worked extremely well, making it easy to cook everything evenly.
For dessert, we even grilled stevia cherry tomatoes and Korean rice cakes, which turned out surprisingly delicious.

After a comfortable night’s sleep on the soft king-size beds, we woke up around 10 AM and received a checkout reminder message.
Guests simply need to dispose of food waste, general trash, and recycling in the designated bins outside the villa before leaving.
