Cheongdam Cafe – Stylish Furniture Showroom and Coffee Escape at Deello in Gangnam

Cheongdam Cafe Deello combines a modern furniture showroom with a cozy cafe in Gangnam. Enjoy USM-style modular designs, coffee, and desserts in a stylish space.

Seoul’s Gangnam district is known for its polished streets, designer boutiques, and stylish cafes. Among them, Cheongdam Cafe Deello stands out as one of the most unique spots in the city. Why? Because it is not just a café—it is also a high-end furniture showroom, seamlessly blending lifestyle design with the everyday ritual of coffee.

For years, I had seen Deello’s modular furniture showcased in the homes of influencers and celebrities I admire. Sleek, versatile, and often compared to the globally recognized USM brand, Deello’s pieces are celebrated for their exceptional storage capacity and timeless design.

My father, too, had heard so much about the brand that he wanted to see the showroom himself. So one Sunday, while visiting a family friend who lives nearby, we made our way to Deello in Cheongdam. What started as a casual visit turned into an inspiring lifestyle experience—café break included.

Overview of Cheongdam Cafe, Deello

Location & Access

  • Address: 1F, 38 Dosan-daero 70-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul

Located in the heart of Cheongdam, Deello is convenient but not exactly next to a subway stop. From Gangnam-gu Office Station (Exit 4) it’s about a 9-minute walk, while from Cheongdam Station (Exit 8) it’s around 12 minutes. Fair warning: depending on the route, you may find yourself climbing a rather steep uphill road—so I’d recommend driving if possible.

  • Parking is available on-site for three cars, a rare luxury for a café in Cheongdam. However, on weekends the showroom tends to get busier, and parking fills up quickly. That day, we left our car at a nearby public parking lot by an elementary school and walked up—a decision that turned out to be quite practical.
  • Hours of Operation : Daily 09:20 – 18:00 (Last order at 17:50)

Unlike typical cafes that stay open late into the evening, Cheongdam Cafe, Deello operates primarily as a furniture showroom and office, with the café functioning as an added experience. This means closing hours are relatively early, something visitors should keep in mind when planning a visit.

Cheongdam Cafe, Deello’s building is designed to highlight the seamless integration of furniture and lifestyle.

  • 1st Floor (Café): A functional yet stylish space furnished entirely with Deello’s modular pieces. Seating includes a handful of four-person tables, a few bar-style counters, and even private rooms outfitted with Deello sofas and storage modules.

  • 3rd Floor (Residential Showroom): Designed like a modern apartment, with a compact kitchen, wardrobes, and a vanity setup. Bright sunlight filters through large windows, illuminating the minimalist black-and-white interiors and highlighting the brand’s signature adaptability.

Walking through each floor, I realized just how versatile Deello’s designs are. From a home office to a family living space, every corner demonstrated how these pieces can be customized to suit different lifestyles. My favorite was the small kitchen area with modular storage on wheels—practical, stylish, and easy to rearrange depending on the mood or need.

Café Interior & Atmosphere of Cheongdam Cafe, Deello

Even after exploring the upper showroom floors, the first-floor café space itself feels like a continuation of the brand’s identity. Every piece of furniture—from the counter to the self-service bar—is built with Deello’s modular system. It doesn’t feel like a typical café but rather like stepping into a lifestyle concept where every corner demonstrates how the furniture can be lived in.

  • Main Hall: Two four-person tables provide space for small groups, while sleek bar-style counters make for a relaxed stop for solo visitors or pairs.
  • Private Rooms: Perfect for families or friends who want privacy. One room featured Deello’s famous sofa, often praised for its comfort, paired with elegant storage units. Another private space, which we managed to grab, offered a minimalist setup with green plants peeking behind sleek cabinets and a small table decorated with a tiny Christmas tree—a touch of warmth inside a modern setting.

The whole space radiates minimalist sophistication, yet it remains warm and inviting. Sitting here, I understood why many people describe Deello as more than furniture—it’s a complete lifestyle concept.

Menu & Taste at Cheongdam Cafe, Deello

Cheongdam Cafe

Despite the Cheongdam Cafe being secondary to the showroom, the menu was thoughtfully curated: simple, minimal, but distinctive. Drinks include coffee, non-coffee options, teas, and a small selection of sandwiches and cakes.

  • Americano: My parents ordered this, and both loved the nutty aroma and smooth finish. “It’s just right,” they commented, praising the balance of flavor without bitterness.

  • Einspänner: A favorite of mine whenever I visit cafés. Deello’s version stood out with its surprisingly mild cream, not overly sweet, layered beautifully over dark espresso. The black-and-white split in the glass looked almost too perfect—an aesthetic echo of Deello’s clean, minimal lines.

  • Strawberry Shortcake: Small in size but bursting with freshness. The sponge was soft and moist, layered with light cream and slices of juicy strawberries. The top was generously adorned with ripe, sweet strawberries—truly the highlight of the dessert menu.

Even the trays and serving ware followed the brand’s minimalist aesthetic, reinforcing the concept that every detail in this space is intentional.

Final Thoughts

A visit to Cheongdam Cafe, Deello is not just about enjoying coffee—it’s about stepping into a lifestyle. For design lovers, it’s a rare opportunity to experience modular furniture in a lived-in environment. For café goers, it’s a chance to sip quality coffee in a stylish, Instagram-worthy setting.

What I appreciated most was how natural the experience felt: exploring a showroom without pressure, enjoying dessert in a thoughtfully designed space, and realizing how seamlessly design can integrate into everyday life.

If you’re in Gangnam and looking for something beyond the usual café scene, Deello is worth a stop. Whether you’re here for the furniture inspiration, the desserts, or simply a stylish coffee break, this space delivers on all fronts.
