  • Banchan (Side Dishes) – Served in a minimalist yet satisfying selection, including bean sprout salad, fresh kimchi, and creamy macaroni salad (a delightful contrast to the spicy broth).

  • Cold Buckwheat Jelly Soup (Muksabal)A hidden gem that we highly recommend! With shaved ice floating in a tangy soy-based broth, this dish cools your palate while balancing out the spice from the hot pot.

  • Nakgobsae Hot Pot – Arriving in a large metal pot, the ingredients were generously portioned, with plenty of beef tripe and whole shrimp. Once the broth began to bubble, the staff came over to stir the ingredients, ensuring the spices and flavors blended perfectly.

  • Udon Noodles – If you love thick and chewy noodles, this is the perfect addition to soak up the rich broth.

  • Stone Pot Rice (Sotbap) – Hands down one of the best parts of the meal! Unlike regular steamed rice, sotbap is cooked in a traditional hot stone pot, giving it a slightly crispy texture at the bottom. After serving the rice, we poured hot tea into the pot to create nurungji (scorched rice tea)—a perfect way to end the meal.

Spice Level Recommendation

We ordered “Level 1 Spicy”, which was described as similar to Shin Ramyun, but honestly, it was very mild. If you enjoy a real spicy kick, we recommend trying at least Level 2 or 3.

For those who don’t handle spice well, the regular broth is rich, flavorful, and comforting, making it a great choice for all spice preferences.
