The experience at Last Chunsun began with complimentary sweet potato chips, which were incredibly crispy and delicious—perfect for snacking on while waiting for our food.
We started with the Chunsun Shabu Nabe, a beautifully presented hot pot filled with a variety of fresh ingredients. The rich, savory broth was perfect for cooking the tender slices of meat, and the dish was a comforting start to our meal.
Next up was the Gwangjang Market Style Nokdu Jeon, a traditional Korean pancake made with mung beans. It was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, with a rich flavor that reminded us of the classic street food found in Seoul’s famous Gwangjang Market.
The Jajangmyeon with Green Onion Kimchi was a crowd-pleaser, combining the spicy, tangy flavors of kimchi with the creamy richness of melted cheese.
The Aged Kimchi Tuna Rolls were another standout, with the perfectly aged kimchi adding a burst of flavor to the fresh tuna.
For a lighter option, we enjoyed the Seaweed & Pollock Roe Rice Balls, which were both savory and satisfying. The Melon & Prosciutto was a refreshing dish, although we felt that the portion of prosciutto could have been more generous.
The Euljiro Style Chicken Salad was a unique fusion dish, featuring shredded chicken in a tangy, slightly spicy sauce. The Truffle Roasted Ginkgo Nuts added a touch of luxury to our meal, with the earthy truffle flavor complementing the nutty ginkgo.
Throughout the evening, we paired our food with a variety of traditional Korean liquors, each of which was carefully selected to enhance the flavors of the dishes. The drinks menu at Last Chunsun is extensive, and we particularly enjoyed the Dowon Gyeol Eui 15 and Seoseol, both of which had a smooth, refined taste.
