Overview about Hannam-dong Restaurant Mirae Hall

One of the major conveniences of dining at Mirae Hall is the valet parking service, which is quite essential in the less public-transport-friendly area of Hannam-dong. The valet service costs 5,000 KRW, making it easy for guests to visit without worrying about parking.

The restaurant spans two floors. The second floor is a single large hall, often reserved for corporate gatherings or large parties. It can comfortably accommodate up to 40 guests, with tables that can be arranged to seat up to 18 people in a row.

The first floor is divided into hall tables, bar tables, and private rooms. Behind the bar table, there’s a showcase refrigerator displaying the aged meats, enhancing the restaurant’s trustworthiness and appeal.

The complimentary side dishes at Mirae Hall are impressively delightful. They include various salts, wasabi, pickled peppers, and ssamjang. One of the standout combinations is mixing wasabi with the cod roe and pairing it with the meat – a must-try!

The menu features a variety of meat sets and à la carte dishes, including jjageuli (spicy pork stew), radish kimchi fried rice, beef soybean paste stew, seaweed soup, and Mirae bibim noodles.

For our visit, we ordered the Hall Set A, which is perfect for two people, and the radish kimchi fried rice. Additionally, we ordered the beef soybean paste stew for my father, who prefers traditional Korean soups, and 150g of pork jowl for my mother, who feared we might not have enough meat. Unfortunately, we couldn’t order the neck meat due to the large portion size available only in the à la carte menu.

The ambiance is superb, and the well-trained staff grill the meat to perfection right at your table, all at a very reasonable price. The 1% selected dry-aged pork neck is the tenderest and most succulent I’ve ever tasted. The wet-aged pork belly, with its perfect balance of fat and meat, is so delicious that you’ll keep reaching for more even when you’re full.

The stir-fried vegetables that accompany the meat, such as bean sprouts, shishito peppers, and mushrooms marinated in soy-based sauce, are delectable.

The radish kimchi fried rice, stir-fried in perilla oil and topped with mozzarella cheese and seaweed flakes, is outstanding.

The rich soybean paste stew, made with a meat-based broth, is spicy yet not overwhelming, providing a perfect complement to the meal. Mirae Hall’s dedication to not only their main meat dishes but also their side dishes is truly commendable.

One unique aspect of Mirae Hall is their beverage selection. They do not sell domestic beer or soju. Instead, they offer Stella Artois for those looking for a lighter drink and a variety of premium liquors such as Hwayo and a selection of wines. The extensive wine list allows guests to enjoy a range of wines that provide great value for money.

Conclusion

Whether you’re planning a special dinner or a casual meal, Mirae Hall in Hannam-dong is an exceptional choice. The combination of expertly grilled aged pork, excellent side dishes, and a pleasant dining atmosphere makes it a standout among Seoul’s many dining options.
