Overview, Sindang Restaurant, Sam San Hall Sindang Branch
Location and Accessibility
Sam San Hall is a short 3-minute walk from Exit 8 of Sindang Station, making it super accessible via public transport.
However, if you’re driving, keep in mind there’s no parking in front of the restaurant, so I’d recommend using the nearest public parking lot.
From a distance, you’ll spot the bright blue sign, standing out like a beacon against the surrounding red-brick buildings. It’s easy to find, even for first-timers.

Interior of Sindang Restaurant, Sam San Hall Sindang Branch
Inside, the ambiance is cozy yet vibrant. The decor evokes a nostalgic, retro feel, reminiscent of old-school eateries,
but with a modern twist. It’s a bit like stepping into a charming, vintage movie set, where every little detail, from the furniture to the retro decorations, seems carefully curated. You’ll be tempted to take photos for your social media, as the interior design just screams for attention. The deep, peacock-green tiles and retro vibes add to the restaurant’s appeal, giving it a modern yet nostalgic atmosphere.
Menu and Specialties at Sindang Restaurant, Sam San Hall Sindang Branch
Sam San Hall is known for its pork and kimchi dishes, particularly the cheesy pork kimchi stir-fry. The pork they use is from free-range pigs raised without antibiotics, and the kimchi is made with 100% domestic ingredients, fermented for over 100 days. This combination makes their dishes truly stand out.
We ordered the Cheesy Pork Kimchi Stir-Fry (small portion for ₩25,000) along with extra cheese (₩3,000) and a side of self-serve rice balls (₩4,000).
Tasting Experience at Sindang Restaurant, Sam San Hall Sindang Branch
The self-serve bar offers a variety of side dishes, and you can grab whatever you like. There’s even a refreshing tea that pairs perfectly with the meal. Once the cheesy pork kimchi stir-fry arrived, I was blown away by the portion size. Even though we ordered the small, it could easily feed two people generously.
The dish arrives mostly cooked, so you just need to stir it around to melt the cheese, and within 3-5 minutes, you’re ready to dig in. The pork is pre-cooked, making it easy to finish off at the table.
The pork and kimchi blend well together, but the highlight was combining it with the self-serve rice balls. Every bite was a mix of flavors and textures, making it impossible not to overeat.
If you’re into sweet and spicy flavors, this dish will definitely hit the spot. Personally, I prefer more intense heat, so I enhanced the experience with the house-made ssamjang (Korean dipping sauce) and some fresh chili peppers. It brought the dish to the perfect balance for my taste.
Overall Impression
Next time, I plan to try their signature Kimchi Jjigae, which bubbles away enticingly on the menu. This place proves that for a restaurant to succeed nowadays, you need to nail the food, the ambiance, and the service, all three. Sam San Hall delivers on all fronts. The food was great, the interior design was fantastic, but above all, the service left a lasting impression. Despite how busy they were, the staff remained cheerful and attentive throughout our visit. It’s rare to leave a restaurant with a smile like that these days.
