Last autumn, wanting a quick escape, I searched and found Cosy 11, a new couples’ pension located right in front of Sangjung Lake. The healing experience began with leisurely walks along the private trails, and I was impressed not only by its prime location but also by its clean, new facilities, including a bathtub and a terrace for private barbecues. Although I’ll mention a few downsides, the positives far outweighed them, making me eager to revisit.

Sangjung Lake Walking Trail and Fishing Spot Right in Front of Cosy 11

As soon as we arrived, I was struck by how close Sangjung Lake was. The moment we entered, we were captivated by the view beyond the terrace and decided to take a walk before it got too dark.

It seems that there used to be a fishing spot, as there was a container for fishing equipment, but it’s no longer in operation. Nevertheless, just walking along the path was a healing experience. After walking for a while and chatting, we realized it was time for our barbecue reservation. We headed back to our room as the sun began to set on that beautiful autumn evening.

Barbecue Time at Pocheon Pension, Cosy 11

Since we loved barbecues and had been going out every two weeks, we carefully planned what to grill: honeycomb pork belly and mushrooms. The eco-friendly grill, which uses corn as its fuel, made the meat even more delicious. The charcoal wasn’t overpowering, making it easy to cook the fatty pork belly and sausages.

This allowed us to enjoy our barbecue time leisurely, chatting over a drink and having kimchi stew while grilling.

Additional Information for the Second Day

Being so close to Sangjung Lake and recalling the lovely walking trails, we promised to stroll again in the morning. However, we ended up sleeping in until checkout time, as we had a restful night. It had been a long time since I had such a good sleep, likely due to the lake’s calming influence and the comfort of the bedding.

The next day, we quickly moved to Art Valley, hoping to catch a glimpse of the still-beautiful Pink Muhly. For those looking for a new and scenic spot with a perfect lake view and peaceful walks, I highly recommend Cosy 11. This pension, ideal for couples, offers private barbecues and a whirlpool bath, making it an excellent choice without any major downsides for the price.
